Beta Alistine Takes Off Overseas The Beta Peptide Foundation, Australian developer of science-based skin care products, has exported its outstanding local success to the UK. Following its soft launch in the UK, Beta Alistine Skin Science has met with glowing reviews and sales to match. The nine-product range incorporates Beta Alistine, a substance shown by scientists at the CSIRO to have remarkable anti-ageing properties. UK sales of the Beta Alistine brand have shown rapid and steady increases since the launch. A spokesperson for top London department store, Fenwicks, says that Beta Alistine is doing better than any other new brand launched without advertising and promotional support. Harrods is so impressed by the initial performance and obvious potential of the brand that it is planning major in-store events and display windows to celebrate the February 2002 launch of Beta Alistine Rocket Science - the treatment product just launched in Australia and already a top seller. In the UK, Beta Alistine is now stocked in Harrods, House of Fraser, Selfridges, Sephora, Fenwicks and Boots Pure Beauty. The UK launch is the first of a planned international rollout, with the US, Japan and the rest of Europe scheduled for launches in the new year. As Sharon Ryan, Marketing Director of the Beta Peptide Foundation, says: "For years, Australians have relied on imported skin care, developed and researched in countries that do not face the unique conditions affecting Australian skin. "Now, we can turn the tables and export scientific Australian skin care to the rest of the world, while at the same time supporting Australian Science and Innovation via our collaborations with leading Australian research institutions and laboratories. "The introduction of Beta Alistine Skin Science in the UK is only the beginning of a well planned roll-out and launch strategy for key markets during 2002." |
